  1. Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Full Frame Digital SLR Camera Body

My husband always jokes “it’s the workhorse of cameras”. This is because he was right along-side me while I researched and started my business as a photographer. So many articles say this and I have to agree with them. I have yet to have any problems with this camera. Incredibly user friendly and beautiful images every time. Going on 4 years with this great camera and still going!

2.Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard and Medium Telephoto Lens for Canon SLR Cameras, Fixed

This is the lens that I started my business with. I tried several other lenses, but I always put my 50mm 1.4 back on. I have shot many weddings with a 50mm. I love the perspective and crisp images. I will recommend this lens forever and ever.

3. SAMSUNG T5 Portable SSD 1TB - Up to 540MB/s - USB 3.1 External Solid State Drive, Black

Has not and will not quit. I love this hard drive. My only complaint is that I wish it came with a case. My suggestion to you is to buy a case at the same time as buying this hard drive. This little piece of machinery is pretty important in my life!

4. HoneyBook

When I first began my photography journey- I got absolutely screwed on multiple occasions! Fortunately I found ways to avoid that and have an overall better experience with my customers. HoneyBook is a great way to organize your pipeline, have professional communication with your clients, and have CONTRACTS so people know exactly what your policies are and follow them. HoneyBook takes out all the weirdness around asking for information and payment! It is so easy to streamline clients through HoneyBook!

5. Pixieset

PIXIESET IS SO AWESOME. Pixieset is a professional way to share galleries. There are so many things you can do with this app and website- like creating your own beautiful website! I used a Pixieset website for the first year of business because it was so easy to set up!! I have explored other apps for gallery sharing and this is still my favorite!
